Antioch V.F.D. Removes Old Home
Antioch V.F.D. was contacted to assist with the disposal of an old home off GA HWY 315W. Following an investigation of the property, filing of proper paperwork, removal of potential hazards, and planning, the structure was ignited. Firefighters controlled the blaze for approximately two hours while the structure burned. Nearby power lines, woods and homes were protected as the fire was contained to the structure. Little remained of the structure following several hours of burning, though firefighters monitored the fire throughout the day to ensure the fire remained contained until extinguished.
