Vehicle Extrication & Fire Training
Held at Pine Mountain Valley
Approximately 18 Members of Pine Mountain Valley, Hamilton and Antioch Volunteer Fire Departments participated in vehicle extrication and vehicle fire training Saturday November 19, 2005. The training was held at Pine Mountain Valley.
With the assistance of Harris County EMS, firefighters were trained in the proper use of vehicle extrication tools, known to most as the "jaws of life." Firefighters learned to work in coordination with EMS to properly stabilize and extricate victims pinned in a wrecked vehicle.
Following the extrication training, firefighters were trained in the proper manner in which to extinguish a car fire.
